CONSTRUCTION STARTS ON NEW WEST END LANDMARK

Work has officially begun on Montague Markets with the commencement of construction activity at the landmark site on West End’s Montague Road.

Montague Markets will be Pradella’s 20th project in West End and a key component of the $1 billion masterplanned Riverside West End community.

Construction of Stage 1 includes a range of new luxury apartments, the suburb’s first Woolworths supermarket, other convenience shopping and dining, and exciting public spaces all under one roof.

The first stage is expected to open in around September 2020.

Montague Markets & Residences have been designed by award-winning architect Nettletontribe to create an iconic new lifestyle destination for the West End peninsula.

Designed for the discerning owner-occupier, Montague Markets offers a boutique collection of refined 1, 2 & 3 bedroom apartments with a variety of city and suburban views.

Apartments will feature an inviting palette of warm natural colours combined with elegant materials and tastefully appointed finishes.

WOOLWORTHS TO ANCHOR MONTAGUE MARKETS

Final plans for the new Montague Markets & Residences project at West End have been unveiled with a Woolworths supermarket announced as the anchor tenant.

This exciting new shopping, dining and residential precinct will be the latest addition to Pradella’s $1 billion masterplanned Riverside West End community, which is transforming the suburb’s iconic waterfront district.

Brisbane Lord Mayor Graham Quirk joined representatives of Pradella and Woolworths on the site at 405 Montague Road to announce the precinct details.

Construction will start in late 2018 with Stage 1 of the project expected to open in Spring 2020.

The new full-line Woolworths supermarket will occupy 3,400sqm of Montague Markets, which will also feature another 1,590sqm of specialty retail across 15 tenancies.

Montague Markets will be highly accessible with 290 underground carpark bays, pedestrian and cycling paths and bike storage facilities. It will also include luxury apartments, vibrant public spaces, alfresco dining and a new laneway experience for the precinct.

A 200sqm public art piece that will further showcase the personality of West End.

Pradella Director Kim Pradella said he was pleased to welcome Woolworths as the anchor tenant of Montague Markets, providing a vital additional service for thousands of local residents.

Woolworths’ Regional Property Manager, Phillip Peel, said the company was delighted to secure a key retail tenancy in the development as the growing population indicated clear demand for a full-line supermarket.
